  • Module - 2 "Exploring the Universe"
As a Space Club member, the students can

• Participate in national and International competitions and projects organized by SPACE, NASA, ESA and RSA, ISRO, etc.
• Interact with astronomers from Space through an online program 'Ask the Astronomer'
• Interact with international peers through exchange programs
• Learn a futuristic science that will gain popularity in the near future
• Widen the scope of your education by learning about and observe astronomy tools such as telescopes, binoculars and astrophotography
• Attend workshops
• Enjoy hands-on activities

Certification - Space Club prepares students for future by equipping them with the right knowledge and tools to help them follow their dreams. Space honors these students by awarding them an 'Amateur Astronomer' certificate after successful completion of the Space Club program.
Space Club Module-1- Fun with Universe
“Fun with Universe” is the beginner level program for young astronomy enthusiasts. The program is based on basic concepts of astronomy that affects day to day life, nature and surrounding through hands-on learning techniques.
Salient features of Space Club Module-1
  • The Program is designed for students from 6th to 8th class
  • The Program consists of 19 sessions which will be covered in 10 days during the academic year. It includes one evening (school ground) and one overnight observation (Space official site)
  • Minimum Strength required to start a club are 40 students

Space Club Module-2- Exploring the Universe
Exploring the Universe”is the next step to level 1, that has been designed keeping in mind to further stimulate the growing young minds who have been exposed to futuristic ideas during level 1. The activities of level 2 shall further train them with basic space sciences skills, teach advanced scientific methods and extend their horizon beyond normal comprehension. We have seen wonderful minds in action during our interaction with students in school and strongly believe that a further stimulus will help them shine like a star.
Salient features of Space Club Module-2
  • The Program is designed for 9th to 12th class students
  • The Program consists of 12 sessions which will be covered in 07 days in the period of 12 months. It includes one evening (school ground), one overnight observation (Space official site) and a visit to Jantar Mantar
  • The minimum strength required to start a club is a group of 30 students.

Extended Space Club - With the growing popularity of Space Clubs, and varied astronomy education needs to schools, Space has come up with a provision for “Extended Club”, an extension for both Module 1 & 2. Under an Extended Club, a school has the choice to increase the no. of visits of the Space astronomy educators to the school; thought the module sessions remains the same. The need was felt by schools who in-a-way wanted extra classes for students to further strengthen learning of a particular topic.
Following are the important considerations for a school that wish to enroll for an Extended Club :
a)The school shall keep aside an hour for the session
b) The school is keen to increase the frequency of club sessions and want to conduct them with fixed periodicity

Astronomy Day - It is a culmination of the space astronomy club Module 1.It gives students a platform to showcase the activities learnt in the club. This is open to all school students and teachers. This event is organized on special days like parent teacher meeting so as to involve parents and make them aware about the activities of the club and their child’s learning and participation in club activities.
